I love coaching people who face big challenges. It’s an inspiring, uplifting and beautiful experience.

MY CLIENTS ARE READY FOR THEIR FINEST HOUR.

NO MATTER WHAT BURNED DOWN IN THEIR LIVES, THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO RISE FROM THE ASHES.

WITH PURPOSE AND VISION, WE WRITE AN ALTERNATIVE STORYLINE INTO THEIR UNIQUE NARRATIVE. THROUGH THIS PERSONALIZED SCRIPTURE THAT WE CREATE TOGETHER, MY CLIENTS LEARN TO COUNT ON THEMSELVES AGAIN.

WE MAP THE WAY ALONG THE PATH TO A NEW ADVENTURE OF LIFE, FAR MORE RAPTUROUS AND REWARDING THAN THEY COULD HAVE PREVIOUSLY IMAGINED.

With exceptional regularity and depth, as a globally-accomplished business entrepreneur, committed mother, and highly talented speaker and writer, Catherine has provided many practical insights, written resources, readings, and worldwide inspirations to me and to the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Global Investment Committee, which I founded 20 years ago. She has tirelessly, diplomatically, and efficaciously recommended areas of focus to our group’s deliberations and discussions. In everything she undertakes, Catherine demonstrates precision, energy, percipience, reliability, intellectual honesty, authentic congeniality, and generosity of spirit.

In addition to my writing, and entrepreneurial work, I specialize in coaching those who face painful change, loss, grief, and often the sting of shame or humiliation.  Some of my clients are “ordinary people” confronting extraordinary problems, and some of my clients are high-profile personalities who have become embroiled in matters that require discretion, trust, and understanding.  The work we do together becomes a source of refuge and strength in the face of adversity.

Like those I serve, I am no stranger to personal crisis. In 2008, my then-fiancé, Andrew Madoff, turned his father in to the FBI for committing the largest crime in the history of finance.  The resulting scandal exploded in the media, cast suspicion upon our extended family, and created personal chaos for everyone it touched.  I was proud to stand by Andrew through the emotionally intense years that followed, both before and after the courts vindicated his integrity and honesty in 2013.  Nevertheless, family upsets, financial devastation, suicide, and Andrew’s own losing battle with lymphoma have shaped my life.  It was an honor to have actress Lily Rabe portray me in Robert DeNiro’s 2017 film, The Wizard of Lies, which chronicles that era in our family’s story.

All dark clouds have silver linings.  Now I have the privilege of using the tool kit I built to face my own fears in partnership with legal teams, crisis management firms, mental health and medical professionals, and families.  Using ethical rather than moralistic judgment, my coaching addresses both the emotional and logistical considerations in creating a new and better future.  The process we undertake reconnects my clients to their spiritual shelter, and their own resolve to grow emotionally through tragedy.

No smoke and mirrors necessary.  I’m here to face the dark and walk with you into the light.  And I’m humbled by the chance to help others.

I met Catherine soon after an intense few months in which my personal life, when I was attempting to re-establishing myself as a woman who wanted to live and thrive. I needed support from someone who could intuit other people’s strengths and desires, and that is what Catherine did for me and still does so beautifully. Without my having even to describe any of my profound pain, Catherine figuratively picked me up and literally put me to work. Catherine’s warmth and deep sense of humor fortified my life, and her clear-headedness and vigor provided me with a remarkably accessible role model when I most needed one. Her ability to negotiate and articulate those intertwined paths of concern and comfort make her one of the most visionary and impressive women I’ve known. Grace. Kindness. Wisdom. Humor.  These four qualities speak to what makes Catherine not only a sensible and sensitive mentor but also a sort of everyday goddess.
